Their body color resembles pheasants

Oriental Turtle Doves are native to Japan and can be seen in the city all year round. They are characterized by a scale-like pattern on their wings.
One morning, I came across a Oriental Turtle Dove bathing at a watering hole. As I watched its back as it prepared for the morning and flew away, I could feel the day beginning with the fresh morning air.
