Long antennae and large jaws
Longhorn Beetles are characterized by long antennae and large jaws for drilling into wood. Gomadara Kamikiri has a wide range of food sources (adults eat the bark of trees), and can be found on various broadleaf trees. Their large jaws help them feed on tree bark and drill holes for spawning. Because of this behavior, they are sometimes treated as a harmful insect.
By the way, although their main area of life is supposed to be around trees, I often see them in Blushing Knockouts that is a type of rose. Is there something about the rose attracts longhorn beetles?
Though that's a good thing for me, because the contrast between magenta of roses and black and cyan of longhorn beetle is very photogenic.
