Eyes of Stars
The Veronica Persica is a weed that grows everywhere, but it blooms in the spring with small, beautiful blue flowers. Because of the beauty of its flowers, it is sometimes called eyes of stars in Japan.
Its Japanese name "Ohinunofuguri" means dog's scrotum, but it actually has no characteristics similar to a dog's scrotum. This name was given because it resembles "Inunouguri", which has features similar to a dog's scrotum. The plant has a pitiful story, but it blooms so beautifully that such a unique name does not bother it.
